Queenie Leung is an accomplished music educator with over 17 years of teaching experience in Hong Kong and Canada. Her professional training includes Kodály pedagogy, Orff Schulwerk, choral conducting, and mindfulness education.
Queenie currently serves as part-time Music Teacher and Choir Conductor at a local primary school. She is also one of the conductors of The Kowloon City Community Choir. Prior to this, she was a Music Specialist Teacher in an international school for over 12 years, where she developed and implemented music curricula for children aged 18 months to 11 years, drawing upon the Kodály, Orff, and Dalcroze approaches.
As an active performer, she sings with The Learners Chorus and regularly participates in large-scale choral performances. She is also a choral member of Musica Viva’s 2026 production of Puccini’s La Bohème. In 2023, she participated in Tai Kwun's community arts project Remember the Time We Sing, collaborating in intergenerational music-making and co-creating an original song.
Queenie believes that music education should nurture the whole child. Drawing on her backgrounds, she strives to develop not only musical skills, but also confidence, creativity, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
