Clinical Mental Health Counseling
Sofia Lee is a US Registered Dance Movement Therapist (R-DMT) and a license-eligible clinical mental health counselor in Massachusetts USA, where she currently resides. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (Specialisation in Dance/Movement Therapy) from Lesley University. She is also a graduate from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Psychology & Counseling).
In her clinical practice, she has worked in both Hong Kong and the US, serving children and adolescents with acute safety concerns, high schoolers with learning challenges, adults with developmental disabilities, and women with developing mood disorders and psychosis. She has also worked at the Department of Psychiatry in the University of Hong Kong, serving a community-based early intervention project on women’s mental health.
Sofia is passionate about supporting women in cultivating self-compassion and self-acceptance in their journey of pursuing holistic wellbeing. Her clinical practice is rooted in the belief that the body, mind, and spirit are interconnected, and that healing must involve the body. Her work involves the use of the body and the creative arts as sources of information and channels of self-expression. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys dancing, doing yoga, drawing, and spending time near the water.
